About Us

The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic fraternal service organization, standing for the four principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.

The St. Pope John Paul II council (council #5647) is a small, active council serving the parishes of St. Rita’s in Cottage Grove, and St. Thomas Aquinas in St. Paul Park. We are an active council with about 40 members, and we are always looking for new members and new ideas for activities to help in our community.

We are very active in pro-life activities, and in raising money for our parishes, as well as contributing to various charitable organizations. In the past we have helped out at Feed My Starving Children, Woodbury Options for Women, Coats for Kids, Special Olympics, and others.

We are looking for fresh ideas and energy to expand the ways we can be of service to God and our community, so if you are interested in helping out, contact us!
